Saw this awesome doc in my Native Writing class the other day, Reel Injun. It’s about how Hollywood cinema has depicted aboriginals over the years and has influenced understanding and misunderstandings of Indian people today.
Charlie Hill, Clint Eastwood, Graham Greene and others are featured. Plus Sacheen Littlefeather! Who`s fricken gorgeous and has lived an incredible life. Most famously, she accepted Marlon Brando`s Best Actor Oscar for The Godfather, who boycotted the ceremony in protest of the treatment of Native Americans in the film industry as well as the siege at Wounded Knee.
